This stop motion animation project marked the first time we worked with Reclaim, exploring the Peterloo Massacre and how the conditions that caused it unfortunately still ring true today. The group developed and recited a poem that provides the backing to their stop-motion animations. These animations were projected and composited back onto the Manchester streets where the Massacre took place, repopulating the city with the stories of Protest, Democracy and Freedom. It now forms part of a new learning resource for schools: https://peterloo1819.co.uk/learn/learning-resources/
– Produced by TripleDotMakers. Directed by Annie Woodson. Script by Reclaim and Ben Mellor. Post production by Annie Woodson and Jim Dawson.
